For more on Fallout 4, check out Hardcore Gamer’s review, which lavishes the game with praise due to its inclusion of “the best open world in the history of this medium. Players will also need a account in order to fully gain access to creating and using these mods on their PlayStation 4.įallout 4 is currently available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC, with the latter two already having access to mods, while the Special Edition of Skyrim will arrive on PS4 and Xbox One on October 28, with PC owners receiving a free upgrade. In addition, mods for both of these titles will only be able to be created using the Creation Kit, which entails that no assets from outside of these two titles will be available to be implemented. Bethesda continued on to say that Fallout 4 would receive similar features sometime after this date, with nothing else specific beyond that. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim’s PS4 version will support mods on the game’s launch on October 28, and will support 4K resolution shortly afterwards for PS4 Pro owners when the console upgrade launches on November 10.

However, each of these games will receive these new features at a different time, and with certain limitations. After all, Bethesda is attempting to have the Creation Kit running at an optimal level for the modding community to use for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One by the end of the year.

Despite an earlier announcement by Bethesda that the previously-announced mods feature would be making its way to Fallout 4 and Skyrim: Special Edition, Sony has unexpectedly changed their decision and is now allowing mods for both of these titles, as well as providing the opportunity for a native 4K presentation for both of these open world games.
